To help maintain the high safety standards the LNG industry needs to maintain for both business and environmental reasons, and to assist those coming into the industry, this gas course is designed to meet the needs of those involved in management and transfer of carrier operations at the terminal. Upon completion of the course, the participants shall acquire a thorough understanding of the core principles.

This course not only provides the opportunity to learn and understand the advanced protocol of LNG carrier operations but also a unique opportunity for direct interaction with the most experienced specialists in the industry i.e. Captain Stephen Gyi.

The Lecturer


Course developer and lecturer Captain Stephen Gyi brings 40 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas sectors especially in the Liquefied Natural Gas industry. He has operated and handled LNG at sea, reviewed and recommended marine operational changes on offshore platforms, managed LNG Fleets, been involved in the commercial aspects of transporting LNG, overseen the operations and audited LNG terminals, and more recently been involved in the design and construction of LNG import and export terminals. Stephen has been involved in the writing of various publications and papers, and has attended IMO subcom-mittees. He is also a well-regarded member of various industry recognised institutions.
