Nautical Science student, Cadet Gavin Lynch-Frahill, Irish Naval Service, has won prizes in the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN) Young Navigators’ Competition.  Gavin’s project titled “GPS; America’s Global Power System” was judged to be “Outstanding” by the RIN.  His prize package includes three electronic ordnance survey maps of areas of his choice, the book “Safety for All”, and an all expenses paid one-week trip on the Commissioners of Irish Lights tender “Granuaile”.  Congratulations to Gavin on his excellent achievement!
