Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers to honour NMCI Lecturer

Roddy Cooke is the course co-ordinator on the Institute of Chartered Shipbroker’s accredited course, the Foundation Diploma in Shipping which had its first intake of students at the NMCI in September 2006. This class achieved a 100% pass rate and in recognition of this success, the Irish branch of the ICS has invited Roddy Cooke to join them at their annual dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the inaugural class. Work is also underway between with the ICS on the development of a degree course to be run at NMCI.
The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers is the only internationally recognised professional body representing shipbrokers, ship managers and agents throughout the world. Their course, the Foundation Diploma in Shipping is suitable for those who want to further their knowledge of the shipping industry and is also useful for those involved in the world of shipping, transport, freight forwarding, port operations and ship agency work.
