Fiona Murphy receives the Best Cadet award from Mrs Phil Curtis

The annual prize giving ceremony for first year Nautical Science took place in NMCI on Thursday 8th June. Fiona Murphy was presented with the Don Curtis Award for the Best Cadet  2005 - 2006 by Mrs Phil Curtis. The Don Curtis Award is a perpetual award and is sponsored by the Irish Institute of Master Mariners.  Fiona was judged to be the Best Cadet on her overall effort during the year which included her academic work and contributions made to the class.  Fiona also received a pair of binoculars and this prize was sponsored by Irish Mainport Holdings. Cadet Stephen Stack was awarded the Navcom trophy by Frank Drummy as the Best Naval Service Cadet of the first year Nautical Science class of 2005 – 2006.
